Q2ID version 4.0 (QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign) is an Adobe plug-in for InDesign. It provides a quick, easy and affordable method for you to migrate all your QuarkXPress content into a new Adobe InDesign document.

Conversion is enabled with a single click using InDesigns File->Open. The majority of the intricate details of the document are instantly re-created within InDesign. Items converted include: page positioning, color models, fonts and styles, images, and text attributes as well as tables, layers, blends, runarounds, linked text boxes & anchored boxes, pantone colors and other color models.
br> Q2ID can convert QuarkXPress documents created on either the Microsoft Windows or Apple Macintosh OS, into a new Macintosh Adobe InDesign file. Q2ID conversion technology saves countless hours of scanning or re-keying and formatting documents.

Conversion is not perfect - The manufacturers of Desktop Publishing applications have their own, unique methods of text rendering. Therefore, text flow will not be 100%. Depending on the use of custom kerning, tracking, leading, etc., more or less rework may be required, but some rework will always be required.
